About Bo Bennett, PhD

You can read my full bio at http://www.BoBennett.com.

When I saw the horror of wars on TV
I didn’t worry because I knew that God was watching over me

When I lost my job, lost my house, and lost my zeal
I believed there was a silver lining that God had yet to reveal

Even when my entire life came crumbling apart
I believed, although with less conviction, that God had my best interest at heart

Many years have passed and I have grown wiser
I no longer believe in the benevolent almighty advisor

The universe does have plans that are easily foreseen
They include living and dying—just not anything in between

The stuff in the middle is left up to humanity
Not to the creations of Islam, Scientology, or Christianity

If we want to be loved, cared for, and protected
We must love and care for others while keeping socially connected

Now when life throws me its unpleasant surprises
With faith in myself, I know I can handle anything that arises
